This service is offered at many of our pharmacies for clients receiving treatment for the management of opiate dependence.
This service involves the pharmacist supervising the consumption of prescribed medicines at the point of supply in the pharmacy. This ensures that the dose is correctly administered to the client.
Our pharmacists will provide support and advice to patients and refer clients to other healthcare professionals and organisations who can support their treatment if needed.
A number of our pharmacies also offer a needle and syringe exchange service for drug misusers. This allows clients to reduce their risk of infections by having access to clean equipment and reduces the risk to the general public by encouraging the return of used equipment for safe disposal.
