What motivated you to consider weight loss injections?
I had got to a stage where I wouldn’t look in a full-length mirror, as I didn’t want to see how I looked. I would avoid any photographs being taken or if someone had taken a photo, I wouldn’t want it shared.

What are your main reasons for wanting to lose weight?
Since having my first child, I have struggled to lose ‘baby weight’. After having my 2nd child, I found my weight has spiralled and I needed to do something about it to be there for my children and be able to play with them without being out of breath.
I would also like to feel happier with the way I look and how my clothes fit.

How would you rate your overall experience with the injection so far?
Brilliant! The injection is easy to use and the results are already beginning to show. I don’t have any cravings, I no longer overeat and I am no longer able to eat past the full feeling as I previously would.
How has the injection affected other aspects of your life?
I haven’t had any side effects with Mounjaro. I took my first jab at 8am and by dinner that night I wasn’t hungry and was not able to eat all of my food. Ever since then, I very rarely feel hungry and feel full after eating what would be a standard portion for most people (or less!).

What motivated you to consider weight loss injections?
I saw social media advertisements for weight loss injections but was unsure about getting it from a company I had not heard of before. When someone at work told me they were going to start Mounjaro from Peak [Pharmacy] I felt it was the perfect opportunity to try it with the support from my work friends.
What are your main reasons for wanting to lose weight?
After years of yo-yo dieting my weight had spiralled out of control and my eating habits had become extremely unhealthy with noticeable effects on my health. I was living on mainly takeaways and drinking nothing but full-sugar Coca-Cola. I was finding basic exercise very difficult, and it was holding me back from doing certain activities, so I realised that something needed to change.

How would you rate your overall experience with the injection so far?
10/10 Everything has gone well so far. I found the injection really easy and painless, and I’ve not experienced any side effects. The cravings and thoughts about food are gone which has allowed me to regain control.
I didn’t feel an obvious change in the way I was feeling after the 1st injection like some people report but after a couple of weeks, I was feeling full after a meal. Looking back, I haven’t had Coca-Cola in almost 4 weeks, and I’ve not missed it which I never thought I would say.
How has the injection affected other aspects of your life?
I’ve lost 17lbs in 3 weeks, which is more than I have ever lost on any other weight loss programme. Usually, I struggle to keep motivated after the first couple of weeks but with Mounjaro I feel full sooner and the cravings for sweet things have gone.
