We might all be locked down at the moment or in one of the COVID tiers, but people are still flying for business and even leisure. Here at Peak Pharmacy, we are delighted to introduce our fit to fly covid test and travel certificate which can be carried out by one of our experienced NHS Pharmacists or taken away to swab from the comfort of your own home.
Our swab antigen PCR test is carried out at a UK laboratory and has a minimum sensitivity of 98% and a specificity of 100% meaning you and your airline can be confident that the result is accurate.
Our PCR tests are priced at £149 for a home test and £200 for an in pharmacy test by one of our trained NHS Pharmacists.
It is your responsibility to get the timing of your test just right otherwise you may not be able to fly. Please speak with your airline and check the FCO website for country-specific information on timings as they may vary.

No problem. Take the hassle and worry out of the COVID test and let one of our team take your sample. We will then take care of the rest. We always use Royal Mail Tracked 24 for our samples so your swab will arrive within 1-2 business days. The laboratory delivers the results of the PCR test and certificate to you by email, usually within 24 hours of receiving the sample.
Unfortunately, not all Peak Pharmacy stores are involved in the COVID fit to fly certification initiative, but more will be added in due course, so please check back often to see if your local branch is involved.
Unfortunately, this depends on your airline and your destination. In the first instance please contact your airline for more information.
For example, your flight leaves at 1 pm on Saturday and the airline request a test carried out no earlier than 72 hours prior.
You would need to do the test after 1 pm on Wednesday and be passed to an appropriate courier that afternoon prior to the last collection. The sample should arrive at the lab on Thursday and you should get your result by email on Friday/Saturday in time for your flight Saturday Lunch.
Whilst the lab works around the clock processing samples, our couriers doesn’t, so if your flight is on a Tuesday or Wednesday you may need to find an alternative COVID test provider who will be collecting and delivering over the weekend.
During especially busy periods like Christmas and New Year delays can occur in the postal service and we waive all responsibility for circumstances beyond our direct control.

In store Test
In the majority of scenarios we anticipate no problems from the in store service and services provided by our courier partners and Randox Laboratories, however, occasionally situations outside of our control, like the post or lab issues may arise. This is particularly true around bank holidays like Christmas and New Year.
You will be issued with a tracking ID number so you can follow your test to the lab. It is your responsibility to track your test, and whilst we can contact the courier for further information, once the test enters the system we have no influence on speeding up delivery.
Peak Pharmacy are prepared to offer a money-back guarantee on tests carried out by our pharmacists in-store, should your result not arrive before your trip. The money-back guarantee extends to the retail price paid for the COVID Fit to fly test. See Liability statement below for further information.
Take away Test
If a test is purchased and taken away to do at home Peak Pharmacy waives all responsibility for tests results not arriving back in time for your flight. Peak Pharmacy suggest you use DX or UPS to post your test. No refunds will be issued for these kits.
It is your responsibility as the customer to follow the labs instructions carefully, and select a suitable courier method to return the kit.
Peak Pharmacy will not be held liable for any circumstances beyond our control or any expenses that you may occur as a result of a test result not arriving back from the laboratory in time. For example, circumstances beyond our control could include lost parcels, inconclusive tests, positive tests and lab delays leading to a refusal to enter a country/board the plane. This list is not exhaustive and is for illustrative purposes only.
