Your pharmacist will consider relevant information such as your health, existing medical conditions, allergies, current medication and any concerns you may have. They will explain the options available and answer any questions you have.
It may be that medication is not considered suitable for you. If this is the case, your pharmacist can discuss other approaches to weight management, including diet, exercise and lifestyle changes.
Who Is This Consultation Helpful For?
This consultation is particularly useful if you:
- Want to explore your medical weight management options
- Are unsure which treatment may be most suitable for you
- Feel overwhelmed by the different options available
- Have questions or concerns you would like to discuss with a pharmacist before deciding whether to proceed
If you already know which treatment you want to use, or you know that you are unlikely to meet the eligibility criteria, this consultation may be less suitable for you.
What Is the Cost?
The consultation costs £20.
The £20 consultation fee is non-refundable once the consultation has been completed.
However, if you and the pharmacist agree that a treatment we provide is suitable for you, the full £20 consultation fee can be deducted from the cost of your first treatment.
The pharmacist's assessment of suitability is final, and completing the consultation does not guarantee that you will be eligible for or supplied with a weight management treatment.
What Happens After the Consultation?
What happens next will depend on the outcome of your consultation.
If you and the pharmacist agree that a suitable treatment is available, you can proceed with an order and use the £20 voucher provided to you.
If you have further questions, you can also arrange another video consultation to discuss these with our team.
If you go on to use our weight management service, we will also arrange regular follow-up consultations to check how you are getting on and provide ongoing support.

If, following your consultation, the pharmacist determines that treatment is medically appropriate, you will be provided with a £20 discount code to use towards your chosen treatment option.
If treatment is not considered suitable for you, the pharmacist will explain this and discuss any appropriate alternatives.
Completion of the consultation does not guarantee that treatment will be offered; treatment will only be provided where medically appropriate and following the pharmacist’s assessment.
