What is Spedra?
Spedra contains the active substance avanafil and can be used to help treat and manage erectile dysfunction in patients born male who are over 18 years old. Spedra has the unique selling point that it is faster to work than the other common ED medicines (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra). This means you can be more spontaneous when making love as it can take just 15 minutes to start working.
Spedra works by helping the blood vessels in your penis to relax. This increases the blood flow into your penis, helping it stay hard and erect when you get sexually excited. Spedra does not cure your condition.
It is important to note that Spedra only works if you are sexually stimulated.
Who is Spedra unsuitable for?
Do NOT take Spedra or Avanafil containing medicines:
- If you are allergic to avanafil or any of the other ingredients in this medicine
- If you are taking “nitrate” medicines for chest pain (angina), such as amyl nitrite or glyceryl trinitrate. Spedra can increase the effects of these medicines and severely lower your blood pressure
- If you are taking medicines for HIV or AIDS such as ritonavir, indinavir, saquinavir, nelfinavir or atazanavir
- If you have a serious cardiac problem
- If you have had a stroke or heart attack in the last 6 months
- If you have low blood pressure or high blood pressure not controlled by medicines
- If you have chest pain (angina) or you get chest pain during sexual intercourse
- If you have a serious liver or kidney problem
How to take Spedra?
The dose of Avanafil you require will depend on the previous experience of using this product. We would recommend you start at 100mg, and then either increase or decrease the dose depending on effectiveness or side effects respectively. Spedra Avanafil tablets are available in 50mg 100mg and 200mg strengths and each box contains 4 tablets.
Dose: ONE tablet of the appropriate strength when required around 15 minutes before sexual activity.
Maximum Daily Dose: 200mg of Avanafil in 24 hours.

What side effects could I expect?
Like most pde5 inhibitors for ED side effects are very similar and mild. Typical common side effects include:
- Headache
- Flushing
- Nasal Congestion

How do I store Spedra tablets?
This medicine should be stored away from direct sunlight, and below 25C.

This medicine should not be kept in the fridge.
