Depending on the length of your trip the number of tablets required will vary. You will need to take one tablet per day for 1-2 days before you travel, daily during your trip and for 1 week after you return. To help you get the right amount of protection we have especially designed the Maloff Protect packs to cover 2 week (24 pack) and 3 week (36 pack) trips. We can also supply you with single tablets too so no matter what the length of the trip we can ensure you are covered and don’t pay for more than you need.

Maloff Protect is licensed for malaria prevention purposes only. Suitable for travel to areas where there is a high risk of the illness, and where the malaria strains are known to be resistant to Chloroquine.

Maloff Protect is manufactured by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. Not licensed for use in children or adolescents. Contains atovaquone and proguanil hydrochloride.

Dosage:

Maloff Protect is taken like Malarone or Generic Malarone. One tablet daily. Take Maloff Protect with food or a milky drink, where possible, as this helps your body absorb the active ingredients. It is best to take Maloff Protect at the same time each day.

Start taking Maloff Protect one to two days before travelling to an area which has malaria. Continue taking it daily during your stay. Take Maloff Protect for another seven days after your return to a malaria free area. Take the full course of Maloff Protect for maximum protection against Malaria.

If you feel unwell and develop a fever (high temperature) within 1 year of travel to a country with malaria you should consult your doctor and tell them you have been to a country that has malaria. Whilst medicines like Maloff Protect, Malarone and Generic Malarone are very effective unfortunately treatments do occasionally fail due to resistant strains or compliance errors.
