How Does It Work?
Ferrous Sulphate tablets increase the amount of iron in your body.
Iron is a mineral that the body needs, to produce red blood cells and haemoglobbin. When the body does not get enough iron, it cannot produce the number of normal red blood cells this is then called iron-deficiency anaemia.
There can be many reasons why people suffer iron deficiency anaemia and they include poor absorption from the gut, low intake due to a poor diet or blood loss. Blood loss is obviously the most concerning but we would always recommened you speak with your GP before using ferrous sulphate to ensure its the right medicine for you.
How To Use Ferrous Sulphate:

Adults looking to increase iron intake rather than treat anaemia should consider using one tablet a day with food
To improve absoption of iron you should consider having this medicine with a glass of orange juice. Vitamin C plays a role in improving absoption of iron.
Children under 6 years or weighing less than 22kg: Tis product is not recommended..
