Dioralyte sachets are used to rehydrate your body and replace the essential salts your body has lost.
When will I need to use rehydration sachets?
There are many reasons as to why you may be dehydrated, diarrhoea and vomiting being two of the most common causes. When you are dehydrated this is a way of your body telling you not only are you missing water but also missing the essential salts that your body needs to function at its best.
What are the symptoms of dehydration?
- Dark yellow or strong smelling urine
- Dizziness or feeling light-headed
- Tiredness
- Feeling thirsty
- Dry mouth, lips or eyes
- Not using the bathroom as must as usual, or fewer than 4 times a day
Directions of use:
Dissolve contents of one Dioralyte sachet in 200ml of drinking water.
The solution should be made up immediately before use.
Adults and the elderly... One or Two sachets after every loose motion.
Children...One sachet after every loose motion.
Infants up to the age of 2... One to one and a half times the normal 24 hour feed volume.
If the illness is not improving within 24 – 48 hours consult your doctor.
Contains:
Sodium Chloride 0.47g, Potassium Chloride 0.30g, Glucose 3.56g, Disodium Hydrogen Citrate 0.53g, Silicon Dioxide, Saccharin Sodium, Citrus Flavour.
Caution:
Not to be used in infants under the age of 2 years.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Any solution made up and not used within the hour, discard of this and make up a new sachet.
