This home pregnancy test works by detecting the pregnancy hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin), which increases in early pregnancy. Clearblue’s sensitive technology can detect tiny amounts of hCG, giving you accurate results when you need them most.
What do I do if I think I could be pregnant?
Clearblue can be used up to 4 days before your period is due. If you test before your period is due and get a ‘Not Pregnant’ result, there is still chance that your may be pregnant.
For best results and an accurate reading it is best to test the day your period is due.
Once you have done a test and if you receive a ‘Positive’ result, you will need to speak with your doctor who will advise you on what steps you should take next.
How To Use:
If you are testing from the day your period is due, you can test any time of the day. If you are testing early, use the first urine of the day.
Hold the colour change tip pointing downwards in either your urine stream, or in your collected urine sample for 5 seconds.
The colour change tip will quickly turn pink showing that urine is being absorbed. You must continue to hold the colour change tip in the urine for the full 5 seconds.
Keep the colour change tip pointing downwards or lie the test stick flat until the line has appeared in the control window.
Your results will be ready to read after 2 minutes.
If no blue line appears in the control window within 10 minutes the test has not worked.
