Aspirin Dispersible Tablets are recommended by your doctor if you are at a high risk of having a heart attack or stroke, they can be swallowed whole, or these can be placed into water for them to dissolve.

  • Daily low-dose aspirin makes your blood less sticky and helps to prevent heart attacks and stroke.
  • You’ll usually take a dose of 75mg once a day.
  • It’s best to take low-dose aspirin with food so it does not upset your stomach.
  • Only take low-dose aspirin if your doctor or midwife recommends it.

Can Aspirin 75mg be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

It is only advised that you take Aspirin 75mg during pregnancy if your midwife has advised you of this.

If your midwife has not advised you to take Aspirin during your pregnancy do not take it.

Who is it suitable for?

Aspirin 75mg is suitable for adults and children over the age of 16 who are at a high risk of a heart attack or stroke.

Directions for use

Take 1 – 2 tablets a day.

Who is it not suitable for?

Do not take Aspirin tablets if:

  • You are allergic to any of the ingredients listed below.
  • You have or have had an ulcer in your stomach or small intestine.
  • You suffer from gout or have had a history of gout.
  • You have severe liver or kidney problems.

Ingredients

Aspirin 75mg, Calcium Carbonate, Starch, Lactose, Citric Acid Anhydrous, Talc, Sodium Saccharin and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Aspirin 75mg does have side effects, however not everyone will experience these.

If you have any of the following side effects stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor.

  • Indigestion.
  • Increase tendency for bleeding.

Warning

For oral use only.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not give to children under the age of 16 unless advised to do so by your doctor.
