About:
Anusol Cream is a fast-absorbing, soothing treatment designed to relieve the uncomfortable symptoms of piles (haemorrhoids), both internal and external. The formula combines soothing, moisturising, and protective ingredients that help reduce swelling, ease itching, and calm irritation.
Benefits:
- Provides fast, targeted relief for piles
- Treats both internal and external haemorrhoids
- Reduces inflammation and swelling
- Soothes and protects irritated skin
- Moisturises dry or cracked skin
- Can be used alongside Anusol suppositories
- Suitable for use with anal fissures
Common triggers for haemorrhoids include pregnancy, constipation, or straining during bowel movements, and Anusol Cream works by treating inflammation at the source. It is suitable for use alongside Anusol suppositories and is also effective in managing anal fissures and other rectal conditions.
What are haemorrhoids?
Typical symptoms of haemorrhoids include:
- An itchy bottom
- Bright red blood on the toilet paper or in the toilet bowl
- Pain and discomfort around your anus
- Mucous or Slime on your underwear or toilet paper
To help prevent haemorrhoids or improve symptoms you should:
- Drink plenty of water (regularly) to ensure your stools are soft
- Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables
- Use damp, rather than dry tissue paper when wiping your bottom
- Exercise regularly
- Reduce your caffeine and alcohol intake. For example, drink less tea/coffee/energy drinks
- Keep your bottom clean and dry, but take regular warm baths to soothe the area
Some things may make the problem worse:
- Medicines containing Opiates. Codeine and other opiates slow your bowel motions causing constipation and invariably piles due to straining.
- Do not push too hard when doing a poo
- Do not ignore the need to go to the toilet as this may lead to straining next time.
How To Use:
How you use Anusol depends on what condition you are treating. For simple external haemorrhoids or itchiness around the bottom apply morning, night and after each trip to the toilet. The cream easily rubs in and can be applied to a clean dry area to provide relief.
If you are treating internal haemorrhoids, then you can use morning, night and after each bowel movement but with the applicator nozzle. The nozzle can be gently inserted into the rectum, but please ensure the nozzle is cleaned well after use.
