History

PCT Healthcare is the parent company of community pharmacies trading as:

  • Peak Pharmacy
  • Tims & Parker
  • Manor Pharmacy
  • Cox & Robinson
  • Brennan’s

Peak Pharmacy was founded nearly forty years and is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Tims and Parker was founded more recently in Salford, Manchester, but had previously existed as two separate groups, one of which was a long-established family business in the area.

Peak Pharmacy and Tims & Parker merged in 2001 to form PCT Healthcare Ltd.

PCT Healthcare Ltd further expanded with the acquisition of Manor Pharmacy, Cox & Robinson and Brennan’s in 2016.

Manor Pharmacy was founded in 1960 and had branches throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Cox & Robinson is the elder statesman of the group, having been founded in 1760 with twelve branches around Milton Keynes and Banbury.

Today the company has 118 pharmacies and an online pharmacy, making it one of the largest independent community pharmacy groups. The Company’s administrative centres are in Chesterfield and Manchester, with wholesale distribution centres in Chesterfield and Ilkeston.

The Company’s Pharmacies serve communities across the East Midlands, Greater Manchester and Milton Keynes. For many years they have delivered a friendly healthcare service, at the heart of many communities and this is thanks to the great team of people who work so hard and loyally for the Company.

Despite its growth and the changing aspects of Pharmacy, PCT Healthcare Ltd remains a family-based business due to the continual involvement of the Directors, Peter, Jane, Joe & Geoff.
